Association bed and breakfasts are located in a variety of lakeside, coastal, rural and urban settings, and combine charm and character with modern amenities for your comfort. All Association bed and breakfasts are rigorously assessed and guests are encouraged to provide feedback on their experiences.
Association bed and breakfasts are owner-operated and cater for a maximum of 20 guests at any time. This means all guests benefit from the time and attention that hosts are able to give to ensuring that your stay is memorable and enjoyable.
The Association works for its members providing continuing up to date information in relevant areas such as health and safety, insurance, ACC, etc. and enables bed and breakfast hosts to provide a world class service to their guests by the provision of best practice guidelines, business support and training. The Association lobbies Government and Local Bodies on issues ensuring that their policies and regulations are favourable to bed and breakfast owners. We work with other accommodation associations and tourism bodies to ensure that the voice of bed and breakfast owners is heard in the tourism industry.
Along with a business listing on our website, the ability to network with members in your region and our Bed & Breakfast Conference, the Association empowers bed and breakfast owners to effectively manage challenges that have the potential to adversely affect the viability of their businesses.

Members belonging to our Association must meet minimum quality standards and their properties are assessed on joining and at three yearly intervals - giving assurance to travellers that those properties promoting the Association logo provide a first class quality experience.
Annual subscription fees
The membership fee for full membership of the Association is $285 including GST (ongoing $280 per annum).
If you are thinking about opening a bed and breakfast and need help and information then join as an Associate Member ($135 per annum) and upgrade to a full member when your business opens.
