The Baywick Inn is located in a quiet garden setting along the Maitai River, and is only a 5 minute walk to the central city to some of Nelson's best restaurants and cafes as well as many artists studios, shops and other Nelson attractions.
It is only a short drive to visit local wineries and for day trips to Abel Tasman National Park.

Parkdale is our most requested room as guests like to unwind by either having a relaxing soak in the original claw foot tub or sitting in their own private sunroom sipping a glass of fabulous Nelson wine.Decorated in tans and blues with floral highlights this room is calm and relaxing. It has a comfortable queen bed, quality linen, down duvet, antique furnishings, original art, TV, DVD, a large four piece ensuite and the private sunroom. Admire the view of the Maitai River, the front gardens and the native bush that covers the geographical Centre of New Zealand.
One other added feature of Parkdale, if travelling with family or friends, we can make it (on your request), adjoin Greenwood, so that both rooms can share the sunroom.

The Burnside Room
Burnside is our largest room and is perfect for those who enjoy relaxing on the private sunny open air deck that overlooks the Brookside garden.
Decorated in garden greens and earthy tones, Burnside has a queen brass bed, antique early Canadiana furniture, handmade quilt, down duvet, quality linen, original art, TV, DVD, three piece ensuite and a comfortable daybed. Fully heated and air conditioned for your comfort.
This room has the added advantage that it can be used as a twin room or as a triple.

Greenwood

The Greenwood Room
Greenwood is a bright sunny queen room decorated in yellows with burgundy floral highlights. It has a comfortable queen bed, down duvet, fine linen, antique furniture, cosy reading chairs, TV, and a three piece private bathroom.
The bathroom is just 2 steps outside of your room and was the original water closet put into the house in 1909. It was renovated and restored in 1998, but still has it's original charm.
You have a beautiful view of the centre of New Zealand, the Maitai River and the Brookside garden.
One other added feature of Greenwood, if travelling with family or friends, we can make it (on your request), adjoin Parkdale, so that both rooms can share the sunroom.

The Courtyard Suite
The Courtyard Suite is located on the ground floor of our new ‘Victorian’ cottage and is great for those who like to ‘kick back’ and enjoy either the sun room or sunny private courtyard.
Decorated in cool greens and highlighted with a burgundy floral frieze, this room has a comfortable queen bed, 3 piece ensuite, handcrafted furniture, a cosy warm sun room with refreshment area including a small bar fridge, and access to the large private courtyard.
The room is furnished with quality linens, down duvet, a TV/DVD, I-pod docking station and original art work.

The Brookview Suite
Brookview is our most luxurious and romantic suite, located on the second floor of the new ‘Victorian’ Cottage overlooking the Brook Stream, the 'river bed' rock garden and Nelson City.
Brookview is a large queen suite, tastefully decorated in reds and earth tones, tucked under the eaves and surrounded by heritage trees.
This suite has a modern 3 piece ensuite, a luxurious free standing bathtub, walk-in closet, comfortable leather reading chairs and a refreshment area including a bar fridge. It is furnished with quality linens, down duvet TV/DVD, I-pod docking station, and a writing desk.
