  • Kameni Cottage Te Horo
11 Te Waka Road, Waikanae Beach
Ljubo and Jane would love you to come and enjoy their hospitality at Kameni Cottage - if you enjoy a wake-up call from the roosters and a big sniff from our three Marema Sheepdogs and wee Jack Russell - you will love it here. Kameni Cottage is a cute self-contained cottage with plenty of parking available - there is a wood burner, a king size bed, which can also be made into two king single beds, there is also small oven, hotplate, microwave, jug and fridge for your use. The cottage is set slightly away from the main house on our 4 hectare property only 1 hours drive from Wellington and 40 minutes to Palmerston North - just off State Highway 1. The property has plums and avocados and apples, everything here is spray and pesticide free - in our third year of conversion to an organic property - and the lawns are a bit scruffy as we like to keep the bees feed. Beautiful rainwater to drink and all our hot water is solar heated. In the summer enjoy a dip in our solar heated salt water pool or in winter relax in the salt spa and watch the stars. There are plenty activities in Te Horo - pop into the Outlet Shops in Otaki - just 5 minutes drive or take a class at Ruth Pretty's Cooking School. Hike or mountain bike up in the hills or go down to the beach for a walk or swim. If you like birds - Nga Manu in Waikanae pr even Kapiti Island is worth a visit - hungry? there are plenty of wonderful restaurants in Waikanae or Otaki. For the men - GOLF - 5 courses within 15 mintues drive! Ljubo and Jane look forward to welcoming you to their lovely property.
