Along the Napier to Taihape Road, it is a picturesque journey to 10 acres of majestic trees and manicured lawns, sweeping views and singing native birds.Mangawhare has been lovingly restored with antiques and unique furnishings from around the globe, in keeping with her Victorian architecture and polished native wood throughout.

Two unique and luxurious suites are available to our guests. One suite has a private balcony, library, main bedroom and "maids room" with adjoining bathroom and toilet. Perfect for the family who appreciates a unique environment. The other is a unique double bedroom and sweeping living room - with a roaring fire and separate private bathroom and toilet. The instant appeal of each suite is their inviting ambiance, artwork and fine touches such as italian linens to sink into each night.

Mangawhare is a great escape and affords our guests access to trophy fly fishing rivers, native tracks and wilderness. It is also easy access to the reknown wineries and trails of Hawke's Bay.
