You will be extremely comfortable in our private, purpose-built guest wing of our Tuscan-style architecturally designed home. Views from every window. Very comfortable beds dressed in top quality linen; TV in rooms; luxury bathrooms; electric blankets; air con; the 'Takahe' private guest lounge with TV and tea & coffee-making facilities.
We have wonderful outdoor living with a sunny, central internal courtyard that you are welcome to take advantage of whether relaxing or socialising plus al fresco dining, the garden swing seat or comfortable cape Cod deck chairs on our hillside deck balcony while enjoying the breath-taking views.
Delicious breakfasts served at a time to suit you (latest 9.00am;) help with your travel itinerary and advice on what's best in 'The Bay'.
We are just two minutes drive away from our beautiful village of Havelock North, nestled in the hills of famous Te Mata Peak, where you will find boutique shopping, cinema, cafés and restaurants. Close to world-class vineyards such as our friends at Clearview Estate or Elephant Hill Winery in the beachside community of Te Awanga; Craggy Range winery nestled under Te Mata Peak, Te Mata and Black Barn wineries on the hill surrounds of Havelock North, Vidals and CJ Pask in nearby Hastings or State Highway 50's Trinity Hill, Mission Estate Winery or Church Road Winery in Taradale. An 8-minute drive to Hastings and an easy 20 minutes drive to art deco Napier.

We have an in-house art studio to visit where you can view, purchase or commission original New Zealand art from Barbara. Our home is filled with original oil paintings from both Barbara and Rob; visitors comment that it's like visiting an art gallery.
Wireless broadband is available at all times; use your lap-top in your room or outside.
Our garden won a now-distant award for its design and interest. It is currently a work in progress for Barbara and Rob to emulate the wonderful gardens they left behind on the Kapiti coast near Wellington - just another chance to develop a little piece of NZ paradise in another city; it is a producing garden with hazel nuts, olives, many citrus, feijoas, figs with many natives and ornamentals. It is a haven for NZ native birds. You are welcome to stroll our pathways and delight in the array of plants, flowers and shrubs.
Barbara loves to cook and Rob loves to eat it! If you would like for us to join you in meals, we would be thrilled to. Alternatively, you may eat in private. We can prepare you NZ-flavoured delicious two-course or three-course meals. These are at additional cost but certainly value for money when you prefer a quieter night and home-cooked meals.
