– "Come and make my Casa …your Casa"
This retro home is an iconic "Californian Ranch" design with a "Spanish twist"; designed by the host's father, Les Deasy, and built by him together with local builder Eamon Conner and Peter Fulton in 1965 as Les and Jean Deasy's family home.
The gardens were created by renowned landscape architect Ted Smyth in 1974 as a gift to Jean and Les; and the beginning of a life-long friendship.
Here you are surrounded by native flora, fauna, and wildlife such as the odd Hedgehog or Pukeko running through; and with Tui, Fantail (Piwakawaka), Rifleman (Titpounamu), Wax-eye, and Warblers are all here along with Blackbirds, Starlings, and a variety of Sparrows; many of which turn up for a feed each morning.
There is plenty of room to spread out and relax; it's very easy to just "be"
...and only about 2 minutes away from all the action when desired.
